First typography class, each student was given a Brothers Grimm story and had to design the text and images to tell the story. Illustrations were all done by myself.
This was a beginners graphic design class where we had to choose an adage and later on design a logo, and place that logo on a business card as well as some other object. The adage I chose was "Busy as a Bee". I produced two different designs for the business card, some buttons, and a bag that has the logo spray painted on.
A redesign of the Nice!'s raisin box.
Many people experience the spontaneousness of getting a pet without planning it out first. This series of packaging is for those who get a puppy that is unexpect. A puppy starter kit.
A packaging project on Spirits. This was all about the intimate moment that one shares with another person when drinking and how it cannot be re-experienced.
This project started out with the students going to the Chinese Culture Center in San Francisco and looking at their location. We were given a tour around China Town and were instructed to choose an aspect of the center to improve. I choose the lobby area where I saw that it look nothing separate to the hotel that the center was located in. I proposed these columns to decorate the lobby area.
Project that would be fun for kids to do on their free time. Be able to color and decorate their performing buddies any way that they want to. All they need to do is cut the buddies out, color them, then put them together. A fun way to be creative in a 3 dimensional form.
This project we needed to pick an ad out of the yellow pages and a designer. I had chosen Paul Rand and chosen an ad that was for a school for children. We needed to include all the information on the ad but in a style that was of our designer. I studied a lot of Paul Rand's work and felt he had a good sense of being able to play with letters and I tried to take my own turn on that. I scanned in letters that I had cut out of colored construction paper. I did not want to just scan them flat and decided to scan them in more of a three dimentional form.
